Book Haul (164)

Lanna:

The Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale - Because I was craving something Ella Enchated-ish and this showed up in the recommendations?

I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella - Recommended by a youtuber, and I've never read anything by Sophie Kinsella.

Grave Matters by Jana Oliver - a novella set after the Demon Trappers series (available in e-book, or in installments on her blog, which is where the link will take you).

That Summer by Sarah Dessen - I've always wanted to read this one, because I've seen How to Deal (a movie based on a mash-up of That Summer and Someone Like You--I've read the latter but not the other).

Deathless by Catherynne M. Valente - This is one of those ones I've been wanting to get for ages but for some reason I kept putting it off and I'm not sure why.

The Mall by Richie Tankersley Cusick - Because I was feeling nostalgic.

Me and Earl and The Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews - Caved to the hype. Everyone seems to recommend this, so I hope it's as good as they're all saying.

And I got one or two e-books for review and bought a few, but I'm kind of half asleep right now so I'll look them up and include those in my next book haul post instead. Read any of the books mentioned? What've you been reading? :)

Later.

Welp...things happen sometimes guys. Like Black Friday sales.

Dreaming of Mr. Darcy by Victoria Connelly - I apparently have books 1 and 3 in this companion series, so I figured I'd grab this while it was $1.99 [still on sale on Amazon]

No Good Duke Goes Unpunished by Sarah MacLean - I LOVE Sarah's books and it was like $5 to pre-order a finished copy, so I had it sent to my parents' house for some post-Thanksgiving enjoyment. Not my favorite of hers, but highly enjoyable. And that ENDING.

Lord and Lady Spy by Shana Galen - Another Black Friday, $1.99 steal.

Also Known As by Robin Benway - I've heard nothing but glowing things about this one and again, Black Friday FTW [still on sale on Amazon]

Compulsively Mr. Darcy by Nina Benneton  - Sourcebooks was having a huge sale and they have a lot of these Pride and Prejudice retellings (like the first one listed)...so I took advantage. [still on sale on Amazon]

The Trials of the Honorable F. Darcy by Sara Angelini - Yup. [still on sale on Amazon]

Speak Easy by Melanie Harlow - New Adult in the 1920s and it's currently free. I couldn't say no.

The Queen's Choice by Cayla Kluver - I really liked Cayla's other series (though I don't think I ever finished it), so I wanted to check out this one when I saw it on Netgalley.

The Last Best Kiss by Claire LaZebnik - Claire rights the most adorable Austen retellings and this one is Persuasion, which is another one that deserves more love. HAD to grab it from Edelweiss

The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings - I've been following Lindsay for a long time and I beta read a different manuscript of hers, so I'm curious about this one and instantly grabbed it from Edelweiss.

Somewhere in France by Jennifer Robson - It's not mentioned anywhere, but it sounded rather Downton Abbey-esque to me, so I requested it from Edelweiss.

Going Over by Beth Kephart - The Cold War fascinates me and this story of forbidden love due to the wall sounds incredible. I've also been meaning to read Beth Kephart forEVER, so finding this on Edelweiss was perfect.

The Falconer by Elizabeth May - This one sounds so badass and it's been on my wishlist for ages, so I had to request it from Edelweiss.

Bright Before Sunrise by Tiffany Schmidt - I've heard nothing but raves about Tiffany's first book and I've met her a couple times and know that she's awesome and I LOVE the premise of most of this book happening in the course of one night. Had to grab this one from Netgalley!

Undressing Mr. Darcy by Karen Doornebos  - It was late and it was available for instant download on Netgalley and I couldn't not do this.

I mean...sometimes things happen guys. They just happen.
