Free Shipping on Bonanza

My eBay sales increased significantly after I changed all of my listings over to free shipping.  I decided to change my Bonanza items to free shipping to see if that would help improve my sales.

All books priced at above $35 kept the same prices when changed to free shipping.  That means the shipping is really free for those books.  I raised the prices of just a few books priced between $20 and $35.  The majority of the books that I had to raise the prices on to incorporate the free shipping are ones priced at less than $20.  The lower the price of the book, the more likely I added to the price to absorb free shipping.  After all, I cannot leave an item at $0.98 and have free shipping.  That item was changed to $4.99 with free shipping.

I should note that even when I added to the price to include shipping, I often did not add $4.  I may have only added $2 or $3 to the price.  This means that if only that book is purchased, the buyer will pay a reduced shipping amount.

I am still undecided about my coupon code.  Right now, I have a 10% off coupon code, and I may reduce the amount to 5% since shipping is now truly free on many books and partially free on many others.  For now, I will leave the coupon at 10% and see how things go.

I have already had two Bonanza sales since I changed to free shipping, so it may already be helping.
